Areas of Practice

Concrete foundation

The engineers of ASG have extensive experience in the design of building foundations for industrial, machinery, and PEMBs (pre-engineered metal buildings). Experience is a key factor in designing foundation systems that are economical, practical, and will meet the safety requirements of building codes.

concrete tilt-up

The staff of ASG has designed well over 25 million square feet of site-cast tilt-up buildings across the nation. This includes the engineering of the wall panels and providing field-use shop drawings of each individual panel showing the architectural features, rustication, reinforcing bars, and the structural embed plates.

masonry

The use of cmu (concrete masonry unit) block is a very economical choice for commercial construction and retaining walls. Utilizing the latest code design and software, ASG will provide an efficient design for both ease of construction and cost savings.

timber

The engineers of ASG have designed timber structures for both residential and commercial applications from the east cost to the west coast. The flexibility and ease of use of timber makes its use practically limitless.

METAL STUD framing

The use of LGMF (light gauge metal framing) provides a durable, corrosion free material that is very practical. The staff of ASG has extensive experience in using LGMF in both structural and non-structural applications. ASG has also served as the specialty engineer providing extensive calculations for the design of framing and critical connections.

steel framing

The designers and engineers of ASG have extensive experience in designing heavy steel structures for design-build projects. The attention to efficiency and use of practical designs gives our projects a competitive edge over buildings designed by other firms. ASG also has in depth experience as a specialty engineer providing calculations and stamped shop fabrication drawings for miscellaneous steel, such as stairs and railing.
